This course examines networking topics, some of which you may have covered in earlier years to a lesser degree.
There is a focus  on security throughout, albeit network security only comprises 20-25% of formal subject matter. However it is an important area for network administrators. Therefore it underpins much of our lab and practical work. 

The project will provide students with the experience of working on  a sunbstantial computing project for a company or organization which may require them to analyse, design, build, implement and test a system.  It will also familiarize the student with a range of problems associated with project work, such as project definition, time management and quality control.
